Dave Stearns has always had a strong desire to be in the wine business. After running several successful companies, he brings a strategic approach to Graileys on both the sales and operational sides. Having spent the last several years acquiring wines for his own cellar, Dave and Simon have spent countless hours tasting and examining wines from all over the world. It was a natural progression to combine their talents and vision to recreate Graileys.

Philip Robert joins the Grailey’s team after having spent nearly 20 years in the investment business as an Equity Portfolio Manager and research analyst.  He began cellaring wines for his own collection 10 years ago and was drawn to the wine business having shared many world class wines with Dave and Simon over the last several years.  Philip has a specific interest in the wines of Burgundy, whose wines present as some of the most challenging and rewarding in the world.  His approach to wine is much like his former career, where due diligence and research are paramount to both finding the right wines for the right people.  Philip also serves as a moderator on Wineberserkers.com, a forum devoted to those who are passionate about wine and a great source of information about anything wine related.

Graileys Story:

Grailey (Lee) Huet Jaynes was a wine visionary in Dallas during the last three decades. With a great palate and an insatiable appetite to learn about wines, he built a loyal following of wine lovers both young and old. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2004, leaving behind Graileys Wine Cellar with no heirs. Graileys stayed unoccupied for five years until we unearthed its treasure.

We have done our best to maintain the sense of excellence and uniqueness that has always been associated with Graileys. We pride ourselves on personal service and wine knowledge, and aim to keep the Graileys tradition alive for decades to come.

Graileys is not your typical wine store. We specialize in wines that are rare and hard to get, either because of their limited production or older vintage. We strive to bring you wines that you can find nowhere else. It is our goal to provide exceptional personal service by getting to know your personal tastes and cellar needs. Our focus is sourcing wines that we think worthy of your attention, whether a 55 Chateau Lafite Rothschild or a New World Sine Qua Non Syrah. We have vast experience in purveying the world’s finest wines from the new and old superstars to those that fly under the radar.
