Domaine Coche-Dury

Domaine Coche-Dury is synonymous with the finest wines of Burgundy and is one of the worlds most coveted and avidly collected labels. Jean-François Coche began working in the family vineyards alongside his father, Georges, at the age of fourteen, becoming the third generation of Coches to tend these vines. His marriage to Odile Dury in 1975 added to the family holdings, which lead to the formation of Domaine Coche-Dury. Since then, the enigmatic, modest, Jean-François has only reluctantly accepted the celebrity status of his wines. All of the superlatives used to describe this elusive producer are all totally justified. This is a source of beautifully balanced, fine but deeply layered wine that is nigh on impossible to find, and demand always far outstrips supply. The precise Coche-Dury viticulture and exacting winemaking approach have set a legendary standard for itself, and for other wines of the region to emulate.

2011 Domaine Coche-Dury Meursault

Robert M. Parker Jr. - "The 2011 Meursault Village is showing beautifully, offering up a classic bouquet of crisp green orchard fruit, citrus oil, toasted hazelnuts and pastry cream. Medium to full-bodied, elegantly textural and incisive, it's deep and layered at the core, with a racy spine of acidity and a long, penetrating finish. This is a comparatively precocious vintage for Coche-Dury that can already be approached today."

2021 Domaine Coche-Dury Meursault

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - "Aromas of crisp orchard fruit, white flowers, hazelnuts and clear honey introduce Coche's 2021 Meursault Village, a medium to full-bodied, satiny and incisive wine with a pretty core of fruit girdled by tangy acids and chalky extract, concluding with a long, palate staining finish." - William Kelley
