Joseph Drouhin Montrachet Marquis de Laguiche

The Joseph Drouhin Marquis de Laguiche Montrachet Grand Cru is a stunning example of Chardonnay at its zenith, hailing from the most prestigious white wine vineyard in Burgundy. The world-famous vineyard's largest parcel has been in the Laguiche family since 1363,  and this iconic Grand Cru is managed by the historic house of Joseph Drouhin under the Marquis de Laguiche label. This beautiful Chardonnay showcases the extraordinary potential of the Montrachet terroir, characterized by its ideal south-southeast exposure and limestone-rich soils. This wine represents the pinnacle of elegance, complexity, and precision and is swooned over by Burgundy aficionados from right across the globe.

2002 Domaine Joseph Drouhin Montrachet Grand Cru Marquis de Laguiche

Neal Martin - Vinous - The 2002 Montrachet Grand Cru, a vintage that I had never tasted before, shows extremely well. It has an intense, multifaceted bouquet that offers compelling aromas of dried honey, white flowers and a French patisserie aroma, all beautifully defined. The palate has the weight and density one expects from a Montrachet. It feels very harmonious, with a spicy front end and a persistent, oyster-shell-tinged back end. This is a very convincing Montrachet that appears to be aging with real style. (NM)

2010 Domaine Joseph Drouhin Montrachet Grand Cru Marquis de Laguiche Magnum

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - "Vibrant layers of exotic fruit, smoke, spices, honey and licorice flesh out in the 2010 Montrachet Marquis de Laguiche. Simply put, the 2010 is rich, dense and strikingly beautiful from the very first taste. There is a deep sensuality and allure about the 2010 that are simply compelling. This is another fabulous showing from Drouhin. Anticipated maturity: 2015+. This is a striking set of wines from Drouhin. Veronique Drouhin describes 2010 as a year with cool temperatures in July and August, but much better weather in September."
