The 2023 Emmanuel Rouget Hautes-Côtes de Beaune Blanc comes from one of Burgundy’s most quietly revered domaines, founded by Emmanuel Rouget, nephew and protégé of legendary winemaker Henri Jayer, who began mentoring him in the 1980s and ultimately entrusted him with his vines after retiring; today the estate is run by Rouget’s sons, continuing a lineage deeply rooted in Burgundian tradition and precision winemaking. Rouget is widely considered among Burgundy’s top artisans thanks to that mentorship and his adherence to meticulous methods such as low yields and careful élevage.
