The wine opens with aromas of black cherry, raspberry, rose petal, and baking spice, followed by a vibrant palate layered with red fruit, earthy depth, and balanced acidity, finishing long and graceful with silky tannins. Critics consistently praise its refinement, including 93-point scores from Wine Spectator and James Suckling and 92 from Wine Advocate, noting flavors like cherry, raspberry, rose petal, black tea, crushed stone, and mineral tones. With about 4,800 cases produced and vines planted on sandy soils at 400–500 ft elevation, it combines precision, freshness, and layered complexity. Drinking beautifully now but capable of aging through around 2031, it pairs especially well with duck, salmon, or mushroom dishes.
