Opus One, the iconic Napa Valley estate founded in 1978 by Robert Mondavi and Baron Philippe de Rothschild, remains a benchmark for luxury Bordeaux-style blends in California. Crafted with precision and elegance, the 2021 vintage continues the estate’s legacy of producing a singular, expressive wine from Oakville fruit. Composed primarily of Cabernet Sauvignon with smaller portions of Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec, the wine spent 19.5 months in new French oak and was made from a notably dry and low-yielding vintage that emphasized concentration and structure.
