2022 Tenuta Luce Toscana

Luce is a singular and irresistible expression of Montalcino, a Super Tuscan with an exotic side, and the promise of maximum pleasure. The spectacular estate’s diversity of soils, olive groves and forests come together in a wine as vibrant and exciting as the landscape. From the beginning, Luce was a bold proposition. The iconic estate located in the hills of southwest Montalcino was originally identified for greatness by the Marchese Vittorio Frescobaldi in the 1960's and later launched as the Luce partnership between the Marchese and California wine legend Robert Mondavi. The wine was first produced from an outstanding Sangiovese vineyard along with a surprising experimental planting of Merlot from the 1960s by a French company based in Bordeaux. Combining the roundness and softness of Merlot, with the structure and elegance of Sangiovese might seem an obvious idea today, (especially after the last 50 years of Super Tuscan history) but this was a first in Montalcino and the full character of the terroir shines through in the dark fruit, power, structure and the elegant complexity of the intermingled floral and spice notes. Get the 'Super Tuscan' experience for a whole lot less with our limited time 'TODAY ONLY' pricing. Only 24 Bottles Available. Be Quick!

2021 Royal Prince Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

Royal Prince Wines was founded in 2016 by vintner David Green with only one aim, offer pedigree wines without pretense, and to make delicious wines for the many, not cult wines for the elite. To help him accomplish this, in late 2019 David brought major-league winemaker Maayan Koschitzky (Screaming Eagle, Dalla Valle) on as a partner. Maayan is Director of Winemaking for Atelier Melka, where he has worked for eight years under the tutelage of the great Philippe Melka (Screaming Eagle, Dalla Valle, Dominus Estate, Ch. Haut-Brion, Ch. Petrus) so the pedigree is unquestionable, and the outcome is inevitable as everything these guys touch turns to gold. The top-class fruit is sourced from multiple iconic vineyards through David & Maayan's personal contacts, although they remain tight-lipped as to their sources, but it's obvious we are talking about some real heavy-hitting vineyards. We had tremendous success with the 2019 and sold everything we could get our hands on. We just tasted the 2021 again this afternoon and it's drinking like many loftier labels which demand 3 times the price. Royal Prince Reserve is the consummate overachiever, and it embodies one of our core aims - to find, taste, and recommend to you the highest quality wines, for the best price possible. This really is an outstanding Cab for the money. Load Up - First come, first served.

2021 Far Mountain Sonoma Cabernet

One of our favorite things is coming across a previously unknown-to-us wine which holds the keys to the kingdom - outstanding quality and an unbeatable price. Far Mountain Fission is a pure mountain wine, with a dark depth of fruit chiseled by the cool elevation of its vineyard. A wine of texture, with the intensity and concentration we associate with old vines, it builds into powerful tannins that remain refined, almost cloaked by the seductiveness of the fruit and the gently building structure. The name Fission references the textural and mineral characteristics that the unique volcanic soils of the Alta Vista vineyard bring to this Moon Mountain gift. Our latest under-the-radar, sneaky-good find has been gathering momentum in the club, as members are witnessing the fantastic value on offer. This superb wallet-friendly, pop and pour gem certainly doesn't skimp on quality, and it is endearing itself to anyone in search of the ultimate daily-drinker Cabernet. The purity of the fruit is exquisite, and this "wolf in sheep's clothing" confidently delivers the goods in spades. At $49.99 it's impossible to pass up. 2021 Alain Burguet Gevrey-Chambertin Mes Favorites VV

The 2021 Alain Burguet Gevrey-Chambertin “Mes Favorites” Vieilles Vignes comes from Domaine Alain Burguet in Gevrey-Chambertin (Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits), a family estate founded in the 1970s that sources fruit from old-vine parcels (~75 years average) across several climats around Gevrey and Brochon and practices careful vineyard work and gentle, minimal-intervention winemaking to showcase terroir expression. The “Mes Favorites” cuvée is the domaine’s signature village-level Pinot Noir, vinified with native yeasts, destemmed fruit, and 18 months’ barrel ageing, yielding a structured yet elegant profile typical of top village Burgundy. In terms of published professional scoring, there are no widely cited official ratings at or above 95 points from major critics for this specific 2021 bottling; village-level Gevrey-Chambertin wines generally receive more modest scores and, for this wine, exact elite scores are not broadly available. However, expert commentary (including from Allen Meadows/Burghound) notes that the 2021 “Mes Favorites” is very good for its level and that it will likely drink well from the late 2020s into the 2030s, indicating strong quality and aging potential for a village wine.
